PGA.com’s policy is to respect and protect the privacy of our users. This policy statement tells you how we collect information from you and how we use it.
Aggregate and Personal Information
PGA.com shares aggregate information about our users with advertisers, business partners, sponsors, and other third parties. For example, we will share information indicating what percentages of PGA.com's users are female and male. This data is used to customize PGA.com's content and advertising to deliver a more relevant product to our users.
Personal information, such as your name, e-mail address, and birth date, provided by users of PGA.com who are 18 years of age or over may be used for marketing and promotional purposes by PGA.com, our affiliates, and parent, and by companies that have been prescreened by PGA.com. To keep you in control of your personal information, we allow you to "opt-out" by indicating that you do not wish to receive communications from PGA.com about new features or services, and/or receive communications from third-party companies that offer a product or service that we think would be of value to you.
Policies for Children Under 18 Years Old
PGA.com will not collect or maintain any personal information from children under 18 years of age without the express consent of their parent or guardian.
Certain interactive features of PGA.com require registration to participate. All registrants will be required to enter their full name, age, zip code, e-mail address and such other information as we may on occasion request. When a child under 18 years of age tries to register for such features on PGA.com, we also request an e-mail address of the child's parent or guardian, which is only used to notify the parent or guardian of the child's attempted registration. By following the instructions provided in the notice, the parent or guardian will be given the option to approve or decline the child's registration. If the parent or guardian declines the child's registration or fails to approve the registration within the time period specified in the notice, the registration will not be activated and PGA.com will not retain any personal information submitted by the child. PGA.com only requests the disclosure of personal information that is reasonably necessary to participate in the feature for which the child is attempting to register. Even after a child's registration is approved by his or her parent or guardian, PGA.com will not share such information with third-party companies. PGA.com will not contact users who are under the age of 18 about special offers or for marketing purposes.
