In 1999, Duval became first player since Johnny Miller in 1974 to win four times before the Masters and first player since Nick Price (1993-94) to earn at least four victories in consecutive years ... He joined the PGA Tour in 1995, setting a record for earnings by a rookie with $881,436 ... He finished second on tour seven times before breaking through with a win at the 1997 Michelob Championship, the first of three wins in successive starts ... He won four times in 1998, and finished T-2nd at the Masters after leading by three with three holes to play ...
